LONG SITTING HOURS

Most of us often spend a good portion of their day sitting upright. Whether they are inside an office space or at school we do a lot of sitting. I know this beats standing the whole day but there are health complications that arise due to sitting for long periods of time, such as:

•     Strained Neck: We often forward our neck while in front of a computer; this can lead to strains in your vertebrae.

•     Back Pain: Being hunched up in front of a computer the whole day will have its own toll on the back. Moreover sitting puts more pressure on the back than standing.

•     Shoulder Strain: There is always going to be stress on your shoulder while you do any task sitting down.

How to Overcome Health Risks associated with prolonged sitting?

•    Stack Sitting: Sit with your back stretching out a bit and each breath you take will automatically lengthen your spine.

•    Stretch Sitting: Use your backrest support as a traction device to prevent your nerves from being impinged between your vertebrae. This helps give you relief against sciatic nerve root pain
